Procrastinate…Who Me?

OK, so my daughter is how old? 6 months old…..tomorrow! And, I JUST finished my pregnancy photo journal yesterday! I worked on it when I was pregnant, but I had a habit of sleeping the day away (man, I was soooooo tired all the time when I was preggers!). SO, needless to say, it was not finished by the time she was born. But…..it is now, oh happy day! I can’t wait to read this together with the Lilster.
I wanted to share….
Kinda cheesy to put the potty-stick picture in here? I wasn’t sure! But, this baby took forever to come and there were obstacles along the way, so the stick pic has special meaning I guess, LOL!
My mom lives on Oahu, and we already had a trip planned to Hawaii, so it was awesome to be able to see her in person to tell her the good news! I was only 8 weeks at the time…
There’s my little nugget when she was just a little apple seed. I think she’ll giggle seeing this “picture” of her…
And, there she was….all 8lbs 13oz of her!! And, she had (and still does have) great lungs!
So, now you’ve seen a little too much of me, eh?
All that scrapping got me in the mood to start a book, called a “Year in Review”. I want to fill this book with pictures and memories of just her first year. I only have the front and back covers done. Has anyone reading ever done a book like this? If so, what types of things did you include? Or, what would you include?
Since the weather has been cooperating, I decided it was time to spruce up the front porch….here is the BEFORE picture, LOL! It aint pretty.
And, here is the after….I have NO IDEA which flowers are in these pots, what they are called, whether they are annuals, perennials, whatever. My thumb is NOT green. I just go up and down the aisles of Home Depot and put a mish-mosh of colors in my cart. I don’t even know if they need full sun, partial sun, blah blah blah. I just water ‘em and try to keep ‘em alive! I do like how they look though (and, yes, I know the pots are chipped, i think this adds charm, right? Hee hee).
Oh and last but certainly not least are my little hubby and wife that come every morning to frolic in our ponds. They preen eachother and splash around like a couple of teenagers, it really is sweet to watch them.
Aren’t ducks so cute? I don’t know how anyone could eat these little guys! Food for thought!
Have a fabulous, fabulous day!!

The journal is beautiful….I love the colors…not traditional pink…so nice.
Love the ducks…you know how I am about fowl/bird families…one of our little ones flew about 1 hour ago…I was so happy and so sad…one millionth of the emotion of when your first child leaves the “nest” I imagine….
chipped pots ROCK !!

that book is ridiculous! Love it. You are amazing. Like the pee stick pic… I see too many albums that put the ACTUAL stick on the page. Ewww.

Congratulations for finishing your album. Its beautiful and you must feel a real sense of satisfaction to have put it all together. Especially good to do it when everything is still so fresh in your mind. Life continues to be busy and you move on with all the special treasures. Such a special treasure.

Me again. I wanted to comment on the ducks. I really really like ducks especially mallards. Your picture is fantastic with the backdrop of the gray rocks and spots of green grass. Nice picture.

Love the album–it’s fabulous!! Do you make and sell those things?? Maybe if I start my pregnancy album now, it’ll get done, unlike my son’s that ended at me 5 months pregnant!! Oops. And his first year, I mainly highlighted his physical achievements like rolling over, sitting up, holding a toy, stacking blocks, etc. cuz it’s so easy to forget!! I sent a bi-monthly update e-mail, too, that people liked, with all his favorites. Favorite toy, book, food, place to go, etc. Y’know??
