There is light at the end of the tunnel!  Yay! 

For those of you who have read my last several posts, you know that I was trying to pick out a color for our horrifying ugly deck!  It was a yucky barn red (NO, we did not paint it that color–was like that when we moved in)…

So, here is the before shot:

Don’t think it’s that bad, huh?  Well, how about an up close and personal look:

Discusting, right?  Every time I walked in the house I carried in bits ‘n pieces of barn red flakes with me!

So, below is the “during” shot…took the guys several hours to chip off all the flakes and power wash!

And, ahhhh…..look at it now!!  It’s like someone came over and built us a new deck!  The color is awesome, in my opinion anyways!  I feel like I live in a new house!

This new transformation got me itching to change up a few more rooms in the house that I have gotten tired of.  I am terrible with this….I get sick of bedding, shower curtains, rugs, lamps, towels, etc all the time, and then I have the change it.  Problem is:  then I sit with piles of rugs and towels that are out of place, with no where to go!  But, I am going to change up one of our spare bedrooms, one that hubby calls, “the grandma” room, because it’s filled with vintage decor and he’s embarrased by it.  Truth is, I’m sick of it too…so, if you adore vintage like I do…be on the lookout for the vintage goodies from that room (when I clean it out in the next few days!) on my lilyeden etsy shop.  I have been collecting vintage (clothing, jewelry, glass, magazines, decor) since FOREVER now and need to clean things up around here!
