Blech! This is what I usually have for “breakfast” every morning. I’m so not a breakfast person, no eggs, toast and all that nonsense for me. So, I’ve been having these smoothies for as long as I can remember and I just realized yesterday morning, HOW SICK I AM OF THEM! I have them because they are filling, but light. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good, but I am gonna puke if I have one more!! I need a break from these! Wanna make one and see for yourself what has occupied my belly for breakfast for so many years? Be my guest. Put the following in a blender: (all frozen) blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, some water–blend, then add: ground flaxseed, wheat germ, whey protien. That’s it. Lemme know what you think if you dare try one.
Basically I found a new breakfast that I am in LUST with! This little granola type “cereal” is delish, delish! And it comes in a handy box with flip top….perfect for snacking, too. From good ‘ol Tar-jay, of course. Mmm, yummy—-loooove my cranberries! LOL at laughing Lily!
My other new snack is this yummy Wasabi Rice Cracker thingys that I discovered at Cost Plus World Market–kind of an acquired taste, not for everyone! But, I love how they clear my sinuses and “burn” my nose, LOL. If you’ve ever eaten a nice chunk of wasabi japanese horse-radish, then you can feel my pain!
Soon to be sunflowers here! Too bad some bunnies snipped off the leaves of a few of these! Little buggers! Can’t wait to plant them in the ground and see how big they get….
Apparently it’s not very easy to grow big ones…I’ll be the judge of that.
So, if you read my blog, you’ll remember a while back when I was talking about re-vamping one of our guest bedrooms…it was done up all vintage-y (or dubbed the “grandma room”, by the hubby). I was tired of it too…….so, here is the before:

And, remember Savannah Lane? The etsy store that made my rainbow hat for Lily? Well, she did it again with this fabulous little cherry inspired hat! Yummers!

I would need a break from that too! Healthy, would make a doctor happy, but no thanks! I love fiery food. Have to try those wasabi crackers. Love the new room so much cheerier and it seems to be more “you” (even though I don’t know you!) It might be fun painted a warm buttery yellow… but I am paint crazy in my house, so maybe don’t listen to me! The hat is adorable! Your girl is always so happy! I just ordered both my girls rainbow ones like your other one. She is really really under-charging! What is the cute cover on the high chair? Is it those cupcake towels? Tell me tell me!

Ugh, that smoothie needs some sugar!!!!
I make a similar one but have to add vanilla yogurt or something, as addicted to HFCS that I am.
ANYway, I’ll have to check out the cereal–yum!!
Loooooove the madeover guest room!! It looks so cheery and comfortable!! I would SO want to stay there! Love the quilt, the new pillow is adorable and LOVE the flowers and especially the artwork. NICE!!

NOPE…aint tryin’ the smoothie…I am completely not a breakfast girl either..but I’ll take bacon and eggs or a bagel anyday….

LOVE Miss Lily peeking around the corner of that cereal box! TOO cute! And I have the same question as Julie, what is that bright cuteness she is in?!!!
And the room is fabulous! What a change!!
Ahhh….the hats! It is hot, and I mean HOT out here in the desert so I can’t truly justify another one at this point in the year, but I SO know where I will be when October rolls around!! Lily looks so cute and happy!! Love it!
