 Hello, Happy Friday!

 I have OH SO MUCH to show you today!  So, grab your iced coffee and let’s get down to business! 

I have been eyeing up this fabric for a loooong time and I finally gave in and got a yard of it, isn’t it kinda cute in a retro-y, mod sorta way?  I just love it!  No real plans for it just yet…

But I’ll tell ya what I do have plans for……..is this YUMMY-licious brand new Heather Bailey Freshcut paper!!

Looky at how pretty!  I could stare it for hours, so so cute!  I bought lots and lots of extras, so I will destash some in the SHOP…snatch it up if you feel you must have some! 

And something else I needed to have…were these darling birdie tags and birdie towel, both from Jane Says…swing by and get your own!

And, you know I love my birds (especially those owls)!! 

Remember those bare bird houses I posted about HERE??   Well, here’s a little sneak peek at how they’re coming along…I makin’ this one bright and cheery, so fun!

And while I was paintin’ away, I thought I’d give some paper painting a try–something I used to do more of  when I scrapbook, but kind of fell out of doing because I like to sew on paper so much more.  But, this felt birdie and bling card turned out to cute, I think I’ll do more paper painting!  This little lady will fly into Lemon Tree today!  Along with some other new goodies….

And you also get these shimmery pretty-in-pink *clear* girly tags!  I had so much fun making these.  I have been into tags lately…my story always changes.  I get bored with something and I have to make something different, then I get bored with that and so on so on, blah blah blah!  SO, right now, I’m lovin’ tags!  I think it’s because I had a few birthdays just recently and went on a rampage decorating the packages (I love pretty-ing up prezzies!)

  4. I have been into making beaded jewellery right and one project has inspired me to the next design. You know how that goes I know! Sales have been good at my usual spots and it feels so good when they find a happy person to wear them. Lately I’m being inspired to begin folk art painting again. I purchased a child’s wood chair that needs a bit of work and I have a picture in mind to paint. Fun..fun!

  7. OMG~I am so in to scrapbooking right now I dream about it every night! I am making my Daughter’s first year album/tin and about to get in to making tons more!
    I also love to Interior Decorate, Making Flower Arrangements, Sewing, I make bows, I digital scrapbook. Right now I’m making Wedding Invitations for a friend. I’ll send you pics when I get my sample done!

  10. I love your clear birthday tags! What fun! When working along I enjoy sewing. (I’m teaching my 14 year granddaughter to sew.) Crocheting is something I do on the evenings I feel the need to sit. (I’ve passed that skill on the two generations over the past couple years.) My oldest granddaughter (14) and I scrapbook together. Picking a favorite of the three would be hard…

    Ok…this must be like the funnest post E*V*E*R!! I LOVE IT! I love the fabric, the paper, the tags, the giveaway…and that birdhouse? OH MY GOSH!! I am so jealous I didn’t think of that! I saw some birdhouses at JoAnns JUST before you blogged about the “bare” ones and I thought, “I remember back when I was into birdhouses and painted them.” But wow nelly…my painting was SO not quite like yours! It was the 90’s….times have changed!!

    Anyway, love the felt bird card too! We had a “Rockin’ Robin” playdate here back on the first day of spring and I cut out felt birds VERY similar to that to decorate! Great minds think alike!

    Okay…enough babbling from me this morning! At this point in my life I am into paper crafting and all things sparkly! Having a girl will do that to you!! Anyway, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to learn to sew and that is a goal of mine (had a machine for 2+ years now and still never used it!) for the next few months!!

  16. I like paper crafting the best, but I dabble in painting my crafts and I am a new sewer (is that a word :D ?) Those tags are fabulous, can I ask where you get the clear stuff or what brand it is? I’m kinda cut off from all those fabulous products, my lil’ store here tries to keep up, but it’s hard to have everything in stock.

    I have to switch out my artsy/craftsy favs- sewing, quilting, beading, stamping and scrapping are my vices. I work on one for awhile then move to the next and it keeps me fresh and happy :)

  34. What crafts do I most love?! That is a very hard question to answer. I like to try my hand at many things. I have done water colour painting, I have once did a paper collage for a craft swap - I regret not having taken a picture of it…I love to sew and crochet - especially for babies and toddlers. I am learning to knit! I have tried hand embroidery too!
